One of the best things about fall is that it is time to harvest. Cool air, warm afternoon sunshine, full size blackberries barley hanging on the branches, tomatoes in full color, carrots popping from the earth, all called out for a celebration of Autumn today. Nathaniel snapped this photo before I brought my few little organic vegetables inside. We enjoyed a cup of tea by the fireside for the second time this week (and I’m sure that there will be many more coming shortly). I have been thinking about Ecclesiastes 3 lately – and how there is a season for everything. God did not ordain everything to happen at once, but for each little thing to be enjoyed in the moment in which he has planned it. Praise God that there is “a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted” (Ecclesiastes 3:2).
Great picture, great autumn celebration, and great enjoying of the harvest process. Thanks for sharing all the above.
Nice post. Your comments go well with the picture. Reminds me of a bowl of veggies I saw in the kitchen last night.
I agree with the above commenter’s. I love the picture of the tiny harvest 🙂
Wow, I’m way behind. I was coming over to comment on the cute little veggies too, but now I’m fourth in line! 🙂
